| Nady and Vorg |
Cyborg is a very popular Cannon film starring Jean-Claude Van Dame. It's mostly a generic action flick but director Albert Pyun (Nemesis series, Vicious Lips, Knights, Raven Hawk, Left for Dead) manages to incorporate some strong female characters into the roster of savage bandits and futuristic heroes.
Nady Simmons (Deborah Richter) is a survivor of the apocalyptic plague that put humans in danger, she meets with the main character after mistaking him as a pirate. Eventually she joins his side. Nady is kind of a modern damsel in distress, meaning that she sometimes has to be rescued but she will put up a fight and punch people when she needs to. She's as fierce of a warrior as any other.
Throughout the movie there's also a few female raiders, one that stands out is Vorg, a female bandit played by bodybuilder Janice Graser in her only acting role.
The two women have an entertaining fight near the end of the picture, one of the highlights of the movie. Predictably, the leading lady defeats the brawny bandit by stabbing her in the stomach.
