Angel Enforcers (1989) [Huang jia fei feng] Lots of action and good shootouts! Review

Nothing like a fun Godfrey Ho flick. This one is a Hong Kong action film about a group of police women who face off against a gang of diamond thieves commanded by a butch boss lady in a white suit.

There's a great amount of shootouts, martial arts fighting scenes and some really cheap dubbing but it's such a low budget and grainy movie we can't help but to love it.

The characters and story are adequate. The girls aren't very recognizable or distinguishable aside from some wardrobe choices and some lines but they do serve as satisfying protagonists. They don't seem to be exploited or sexualized in an awkward way, there's a sexy moment but it's justified and needed for the plot. This is otherwise a pure action flick.

Iconic.

Aside from the strange subplot that has nothing to do with the main storyline, it's a good entry in the girls with guns genre.

Nothing like blowing some steam with your gals after a jog.

Underused villainess but with a decent death scene.

With an astounding choreography work, this film manages to have some rather potent and impactful fights with very dynamic direction and memorable creative moments, such as the opening ambush shootout, the building shootout and the very exciting climax. Overall, this is one that you just don't wanna miss if you love Asian action movies with leading ladies.

Here are the best parts:
