A presidential race is about to take place at the Lovely Angel´s home planet. Kei and Yuri are more worried about getting their payments cut down and are looking to solve their issue. Meanwhile strange murders committed by a redheaded lady have started just as a vault that guards the classified data of all citizens is being cleaned. The smell of foul play is in the air.
As the girls negotiate their payment with Gooley a guard is found dead, a dangerous discovery since candidate Guilder is about to do a speech in the 3WA building. The Angels quickly make a pact with their desperate boss, fixing their monetary problems, and begin to investigate.
Yuri suspects that Pandora's vault (named after the mythic Greek woman who opened the box that unleashed all the evils in the world) is the actual target of the intruder and not the candidate, fearing someone wants to access it´s secret data or destroy it´s files.
We are then greeted by Chan, a Chinese friend of Kei who she owes money to. His dated portrayal might come off as off-putting to some viewers, but this is an old Japanese show after all, so it is to be expected in some way. They accidentally discover the body of a female guard, one of the women in Pandora´s all-female maintenance crew. This alarms Kei, who promptly runs towards the vault looking for the killer.
Kei blasts her way through the facilities and reaches Pandora, identifying the imposter and chasing after her; oddly enough, the assassin is actually a “him.” Kei corners the man inside the vault just before the door shuts down, however, this means she is trapped in there since the security system can't be deactivated once it's turned on.
The security system then deploys a special gas that makes them have terrifying hallucinations. As Kei sees scary visions, Yuri comes up with a plan to retrieve her partner and catch the criminal with the help of Nanmo and Mughi.
Yuri goes against the scientist's warnings and destroys Pandora´s computer, along with Nanmo, the blue haired agent manages to deactivate the entire security system. This liberates both Kei and the intruder, who confesses his reason to be there.
Kei finds out the true intentions of the criminal were to delete candidate Guilder´s criminal past and con man activities. The girls decide to expose this hidden truth to the public during the candidate's speech, hurting his chances of winning. Highly topical, specially in the USA. If only it were that easy to denounce presidential con men, nowadays people applaud them.
Solidly crafted plot wise and with somewhat derivative but still effective laser shootout sequences. It's interesting the type of subversion this show accomplishes by setting up what initially seems to be a routinary assassination attempt plot and dragging it to uncommon sci-fi territory that distinguishes the show.
Fun and fast paced episode that plays around with expectations and goes to unexpected places.
