Flight 807 arrives at Planet Duke, but everyone is baffled by the fact that all of the passengers have vanished, all 463 of them. Meanwhile, the Lovely Angels are planning their vacation but they are called in to get on the case as soon as possible. They meet with investigator Eddie Ross, well, his son Arthur actually. We also find out Eddie´s daughter is among the missing passengers.
They theorize about the vanishing. They know all the passengers were in the plane when it took off and that the disappearances happened within a certain time frame through a particular course in the sky. They also have one object, a doll that belonged to Eddie´s girl.
The girls decide they are going to fly the same course to investigate if there's anything strange out there. However, they suspect something is off when they notice Eddie´s little boy spying on them. Yuri saves him from some oil barrels and they go to his house, where he speaks to them about his fractured family. Kei comes in wearing nothing but a towel after cleaning up and tries to "give the kid a treat" to make him feel better but Yuri stops her. Well, you know, these were other times.
The girls do the flight but they only encounter a very skilled pilot who was about to crash into them. They don't find any clue to the whereabouts of the people, so they return to Eddie. Suddenly, a ransom note is sent to them. It turns out this was a kidnapping.
The girls try to find a passenger that would stick out or who has some reason to be kidnapped. Yuri goes to check on Arthur and realizes he is good with computers. Kei goes to a bar where all the pilots hang out. She finds a suspicious lady there and follows her, she steals her gun and reveals her identity: Shannon Ross, Eddie´s wife.
The Angels find the couple cold hearted and distant, they also still don't have a trail to follow. Yuri is wary of Arthur and his computing skills and both try to talk to him, but they are attacked by unidentified men with their car in the streets.
Once they are safe, the kidnappers ask for more money, making Arthur yell that it's a fake message, that it couldn't be from the real kidnappers. Ending the episode with this puzzling sentence in the audience's mind.
This is the first part of a two parter, so the conclusion and the overall opinion of the episode will be talked about in the next entry but this first part does a great job at establishing the mystery, the storyline unfolds quite methodically, piece by piece, but it's all full of intrigue.
